Caterpillar 320D excavator injector troubleshooting

As we all know,Caterpillar excavators is well-known and popular thanks to its productivity, efficiency and reliability.Because of this,its components inside also are in high requirements.Today we will introduce 320D injectors for the excavators.

 

Take 2645A747 for example.
Because of expensive price for genuine injector CAT 320D,customers usually choose non-Cat brands to save cost.Bascolin is recognized to be a premium OE replacement brand due to its built-in durability and reliability on the jobsite.

 

When you install New injector 2645A747 in your excavator engine,you might find that there is white and blue smokes coming out.
You need to check the possible reasons below:

 

1.The dirty oil
The dirty oil is a common cause of blue smoke.
Only professional engineer know thats Cat equipment’s filtration and lubrication require very clean oil.Even tiny dirty material can cause the problem of blocking of spraying nozzle.

 

2.The smoking time
The blue smoke come outs in the first 5 minutes when you start the engine and disappear after that.
We can say the performance of injector is OK.

 

3.Wrong injector: 
Because C4.4 series injectors has a wide numbers.So please do re-check the parts number on the original CAT injectors body and see whether you have ordered the right one

 

In order to avoid any problems when you install new CAT 320D injectors,Bascolin give the advice as below:
Before installing injector:
1：Clean the common rail pipe and high-pressure oil pipe, and replace with the original diesel filter or high-quality diesel filter 
2：Replace the engine oil and the oil filter

 

When installing injector:
When installing, make sure to clean the dirt materials at the oil pipe connection thoroughly. 
Ensure the injector remains free of contaminants or foreign substances at all times.

 

After installing:
To ensure optimal performance, replace the diesel fuel filter every 300–350 working hours.
